Dear teachers, we are starting a new school year in a qualitatively new reality. New regulations have been introduced in secondary schools. The issue of remuneration for teachers has changed for the better, and the hope for a better future has emerged.

First of all, we would like to express our deep respect for the merited teachers of retirement age. To them, this day is full of joy and sadness. I wish everyone good health and a long life.

In the process of reforming the education system, new challenges place new responsibility on current teachers. The time has come for each of you to show the best of your abilities to prove your professionalism and to advance your career. It is up to you to restore the prestige of the profession and, most importantly, to provide the young generation with modern, quality education.

We deeply believe in the ability of the current teacher corps, and each teacher is motivated to correct shortcomings in the teaching and learning process. This process will be difficult and labor-intensive. We hope that you will overcome all challenges with your usual willpower, hard work, wisdom, and creative approach.

Although the Law on Early and Preschool Education has been in force for three years, the conditions in kindergartens have not changed. There are many unsolved problems in kindergartens, public and private schools, with the labor and social and economic rights of teachers and all categories of employees. We will have to solve difficult tasks. We hope that with our solidarity and joint efforts we will achieve our goal.

We congratulate the teachers' corps, the administrations of general education and preschools, and all the employees on the start of the new school year. We wish you good health and a successful academic year!

Sincerely,

Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia
