On October 10, 2019, a ten-member delegation from the Düsseldorf Adult Education Political Institute visited ESFTUG.

The German delegation spent a week in Georgia. Its aim was to get acquainted with the processes taking place in different parts of the country, to hold meetings with representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations. One area of their interest was the study of the importance of the civil society and trade unions in democratization processes.

On the recommendation of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Georgia, members of the Düsseldorf Adult Education Political Institute met with Maia Kobakhidze, President of the ESFTUG, to study the role of trade unions in education.

Maia Kobakhidze, presented to the guests in detail the current trends in the field of education, the role of trade unions, positions, achievements and future visions in the process of democratization of the country.

The members of the delegation emphasized that the above-mentioned meeting was one of the impressive, thoroughly informative events of their one-week visit.
