Georgia was one of the first country, where women participated in the elections. In 1918, exactly one century ago, it was declared the independence of Georgia. The first general elections in the independent Republic of Georgia was held in February 1919 and in this election participated women of Georgia. So in women's equality establishment question, our country was in the forefront still early in the 20th century.
