Tbilisi Public School N98 - a close partnership with Danish schools...
Another group from Stenhus Gymnasium of Denmark was hosted by Tbilisi Public schoolN98. ESFTUG expressesgratitude towards the principal of the publicschoolN98 for a close partnership and support in developing new project concepts. It should be noted, that public schoolN98was among the school where the Danish National Union of Upper Secondary School Teachers (GL) held the meetings during its first visit in Georgia in 2016. On this meeting there was an interesting discussion aboutabout the development of Georgian schools and the needs of teachers. The visit of the Danish delegation on March 6, 2019, was coordinated by KetevanKheteshvili, the chairperson of Isani district organization. The Danish delegation and MariAlugishvili, the executive vice-president of ESFTUG were hosted by the student self-government of publicschoolN98. The students of the school welcomed the guests at the entrance of the school. The self-governmentpresented the history of the school in the foyer with a photo gallery depicting N98 public school activities on the background. They talked about the eventsexhibited on the photosreflectingtraditions and characteristics of culture, ethnology of different countries. While describing the activities carried out by the school, the members of the self-governmentnoted that the Tbilisi public school# 98 has the most ethnically diverse students among the schools of Tbilisi. Danish students were impressed the diversity of intellectual, creative, educational, cognitive, charitable, sports-recreational and international partnership projects of Tbilisi Public School № 98.The guests and the hosts continued to speak on educational systems, culture and traditions of the countries in the conference hall. They talkedabout the needs and importance of students' involvement in school life, the learning environment and the perspectives of their own future. In the course of the discussion, Danish guests shared aboutschool life, opportunities, obligations and higher education in Denmark. The Danishteachertalked to the studentsabout the mutual attitudes, responsibilities and obligations between students and teachers in Danishschools. "With the results of the last three years, the pupil is evaluated by 4 verbal and 4 written exams that are centrally held and we must show our results, which in itself measures the success and quality of the school,"said Maia Holmbgerger, a Danishexpertteacher. The hosts together with Daniel's guests discussed school self-government, school culture, country history, traditions, education and youth interests. The studentsappreciated the opportunity to implement this program, allowing them to plannew activities in their school and think about future partnership. Within the framework of the visit, Danish guests observed the English language lesson and noted the professionalism of the teacher and the level of the knowledge of the students. At the end, the interaction between guests and hosts continued with a sports activity. Danish and Georgian students were divided into two groups: some played football, while the othersplayed table tennis...Discussion of interesting topics continued in the free environment.At the end of the day, the hostsoffered sweets to the Danish students.
