This day is special and for two to three and four decades, your attitude and feeling with the start of a new academic year will be always elevated. This is the charm of the teacher's profession - the starting point of your activity is the love of the next generation.

Today a lot of biased criticism sounds towards the teachers and the critics forget that the teacher is the principal source of a successful country. Teachers give the knowledge and skills to the students, youth and adults that they need to realize their potential in the life. No one knows better than a teacher that: "Learning, knowledge, and science are the things that can not be ruled out today: neither the fist, nor the sword, nor the height of the troops. Education is like the Sun that does not shine if does not warm at the same time up and does not warm if does not shine" – as the great Ilia Chavchavadze said.

For this, all citizens of our country should be provided with continuous education system, for which is essential improving the quality of educational programs oriented on teaching and learning process based on the real needs of teachers and pupils, students and lecturers, equipping facilities with appropriate educational resources and material-technical base, teacher’s decent remuneration, raising the prestige of the teaching profession and support from the state and society.

The Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia has identified priority areas for solving problematic issues and we are guiding through your critical comments and objective proposals.

We hope that we will be able to achieve certain success in protection of your rights, by your active support and unity.
